Indirect Carrier Security Fee
Implementation Delayed to December 18

Issue 539A, December 4, 2006

Recently, we notified you that effective December 4 a US$5.00 security surcharge would be assessed on U.S. air export shipments, as a result of new security directives mandated by the US Transport Security Administration (TSA).

By this letter, we would like to inform you that we have rescheduled the effective date of the Indirect Carrier Security Fee (ISF) to December 18 in order to provide sufficient time to notify our international customer base.

We thank you for your patience, understanding and co-operation. If you require additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Global Forwarding service representative.

Best regards,

Brian Lindholm
Executive Vice President Operations - North America
