Additional Air Freight Fuel Surcharge Decrease Notification
Effective October 23, 2006

Issue 532, October 20, 2006

Due to the continued decline in the price of crude oil, our carrier partners have notified us that they will decrease their fuel surcharge, in line with their published index notification system. As a result, DHL Global Forwarding is pleased to pass on this reduction in the Fuel Surcharge (FSC) to take effect on October 23, 2006.

The USA Fuel Surcharge will apply to all international shipments. The FSC on international air freight shipments from the USA will decrease from the current USD 0.55/kg to USD 0.50/kg, with no change to the minimum. On import shipments the charge will be the local currency equivalent and subject to specific governmental regulations.

For our Domestic Air Services there will be no decrease at this time.

For Canadian international and transborder shipments the Fuel Surcharge is decreasing to from CAD 0.63/kg to CAD 0.57/kg with the minimum remaining at CAD 5.00. This reduction will be effective on October 30, 2006.

If you require additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Global Forwarding sales representative.

Sincerely,

Brian Lindholm
