![]() Press Releases | Peak Season Surcharges "Year End Update" Asia Pacific to North America Issue 504, December 13, 2005 Peak Season 2005 for Asia Pacific airfreight exports has picked up strongly since mid October. Following market developments in the last few months of 2005, the overall export situation from Greater China will exhibit high demand until after Chinese New Year (the beginning of February 2006). Due to the recent decrease in fuel prices and the strong economic outlook, the market has shown a sustained demand for space. Highlights in yellow indicate our revisions out of Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. PSS in these three markets has been extended until Chinese New Year, in-line with Taipei. Korea has also been extended for a further fifteen days to the end of December. For the other markets we will withdraw the PSS as previously indicated in our last communication.
We at DHL Danzas Air & Ocean will continue to monitor the market situation closely, and keep you updated with regards to any changes which affect you. As always our goal is to provide a transparent and clear appraisal of the market situation on these critical routes. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your DHL Danzas Air & Ocean account manager. Sincerely,
|
