![]() Press Releases | Fuel Surcharge Decrease Notification - Effective December 8 and 18, 2005 Issue 503, December 8, 2005 Due to the steady downturn in the price of crude oil, our carrier partners have notified us that they will decrease their fuel surcharge, in line with their published index notification system. As a result, DHL Danzas Air & Ocean is pleased to pass on this reduction in the FSC to take effect on December 8 for International services. The FSC on International air freight shipments from the USA, with the exception of Japan, will decrease to USD 0.45/kg from USD 0.50/kg, with no change to the minimum on December 8th. On import shipments the charge will be the local currency equivalent and subject to specific governmental regulations. For Canadian International and Transborder shipments the Fuel Surcharge is decreasing to CAD 0.56/kg with the minimum remaining at CAD 5.00. The FSC for shipments to Japan will be USD 0.55/KG from the US and CAD 0.67/kg from Canada effective December 8. This rate will further decrease effective December 18, 2005 to USD 0.50/KG on shipments originating in the U.S. and CAD 0.61/kg for exports from Canada. If you require additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Danzas Air & Ocean representative. Your continued support regarding this situation is very much appreciated. Sincerely, Brian Lindholm |
