Fuel Surcharge Increase Amendment

Issue 489, October 7, 2005

After multiple discussions between DHL Danzas Air & Ocean and the regional carriers servicing South and Central America (Polar, DHL Aviation, Tampa Airlines, Florida West, Cielos, South Winds, Lan Chile and BRINGER), they have revised and reduced their temporary Fuel Surcharge to USD $0.20/KG increase instead of the USD $0.25/KG as previously announced in our communication earlier this week.

Although this is a temporary increase, DHL Danzas Air & Ocean will avoid using these carriers wherever possible. However, lift capacity and availability is somewhat limited to the South and Central America region. At this time, we have no choice but to pass thru this additional Fuel Surcharge.

If you require additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Danzas Air & Ocean representative. Your continued support and understanding regarding this situation is very much appreciated.
