Peak Season Surcharge Removal: Asia Pacific – North America

Issue 463, February 11, 2005

We would like to inform you that effective 14 February 2005, the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) applicable for air freight shipments from Asia Pacific to North America will be completely removed from all Asian origins.

We do not foresee the need to maintain the surcharge beyond the Chinese New Year, as it appears market activity has returned to a normal, stable level of output.

The removal of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Textile Quotas have not led to an extraordinary upsurge in demand beyond the holiday, as originally forecasted.

DHL Danzas Air & Ocean expects a strong end to the quarter and will continue to monitor the market situation closely with regards to any changes that may impact market conditions. As always, our goal is to provide you with accurate and timely appraisals of the market situation on these important routes.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your DHL Danzas Air & Ocean account manager.

Sincerely,

Brian Lindholm
Executive VP & C.O.O., North America
DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.
