Air Freight Fuel Surcharge Decrease Notification Effective January 3rd, 2005 Issue 456, December 22, 2004 We are continuing to monitor the price of aviation fuel and urge our carrier partners to make adjustments whenever we see the price of aviation fuel decreasing. The Fuel Price Index (FPI) recently stabilized and had fallen during the past two weeks. Since the FPI has declined below the breakpoint target of 245 for two weeks successively, we are pleased to announce a reduction in the Fuel Surcharge. Effective January 3, 2005, the Fuel Surcharge for USA International shipment s (export and import) will decrease from USD 0.35 to USD 0.30/kg, with a USD 5.00 Minimum. The Fuel Surcharge for Canadian International shipments will remain at CAN 0.46/kg with a CAN 5.00 Minimum. DHL Danzas Air & Ocean is now discussing the Fuel Surcharge with the Canadian Air Carriers and we will communicate our progress in the very near future. For Domestic shipments moving by air, the Minimum will be USD 5.00 Minimum or USD 0.13/lb. For Domestic Surface shipments the Minimum will be USD 5.00 Minimum or USD 0.045/lb. If you require any additional information or clarification, please contact your local DHL Danzas Air & Ocean representative for further details. Your continued support and understanding concerning this challenging situation is very much appreciated. Sincerely,
Brian Lindholm Please note that due to the complex nature of the subject matter, DHL Danzas Air & Ocean cannot be responsible for actions taken by the reader in reliance on the information contained herein without prior consultation with DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.
