NAV CANADA Navigation Surcharge - 2003
Issue 408, July 16, 2003
As you are aware, in 1999 Transport Canada and the Federal government made a decision to allow the private sector to operate airports and provide Air Navigation Services. With this governmental change, user fees were applied to all who utilized Canadian airspace. NAV CANADA (www.navcanada.ca) provides these services, which are paid for solely by air navigation charges levied on aircraft operators. The aircraft operators have no alternative but to pass the navigation surcharge to their customers. NAV CANADA has been approved for an increase to their fee's effective August 15th, 2003 and unfortunately we have no alternative but to pass the same increase onto our customers. The new fees are as follows:
Transborder/Domestic: Min $3.00 or 5% Charges are in CAD funds and based on chargeable weight We appreciate your continued support and look forward to serving all your transportation and logistics needs Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your Sales Executive or your local branch office.
