Alameda Corridor Fee According the Journal of Commerce, "the Alameda Corridor is an express link between the nation's largest port complex and intermodal rail yards located about 20 miles away near downtown Los Angeles. The corridor project eliminated about 200 grade crossings on the existing rail lines to the neighboring ports that slowed the movement of intermodal rail traffic through the congested Los Angeles metropolitan area."
