A Message To Our Customers

Issue 313, September 11, 2001
In the wake of today's tragic developments, please be aware of the following actions and the steps being taken by Danzas AEI Intercontinental to safeguard your cargo while complying with heightened security measures.

  • The FAA has shut down the national air system
  • The U.S.- Canadian/Mexican border has limited access
  • All U.S. Customs operations are closed
WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT, THE FOLLOWING EMERGENCY ACTIONS HAVE BEEN INSTITUTED:

  • Instructions issued by all government agencies will supercede any directives issued by Danzas AEI Intercontinental or its customers.
  • We are strictly adhering to all FAA security regulations.
  • All cargo in the possession of our airline partners is to remain with the airlines unless they notify us directly to pick it up.
  • If needed, additional space and security personnel will be arranged to ensure that all cargo is in a secure environment.
  • We are examining all perishable shipments on hand and placing them in storage. Additionally, we are reviewing all documentation for dangerous goods shipments that have been tendered to carriers in the last week.
  • We are working to secure additional surface capacity to enable us to move as much freight as possible until we can resume air transportation activities.
  • We have established an 800 number at our World Service Center to be utilized for additional details at 800-426-5962 (in U.S.)

Please be advised that, next to the protection of human life, the safety of your cargo is our highest priority. We appreciate your cooperation and support during this difficult period. We will keep you advised of any changes in procedure as they occur.

Our prayers and thoughts are with those who have experienced loss and injury in the terrorist incidents, their families and to those who are extending aid in rescue and relief efforts.

Please note that due to the complex nature of the subject matter, Danzas AEI cannot be responsible for actions taken by the reader in reliance on the information contained herein without prior consultation with Danzas AEI.
