DHL Awarded for Outstanding Record of Cooperation with Israel's Industry and Business Community

Basel, Switzerland (January 17, 2006) - The Award was granted by the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) and Manufacturer's Association of Israel (MAI) for outstanding record of cooperation with Israel's industry and business community. The Award Ceremony and the festive reception were held in Tel Aviv on December 21, 2005. David Arzi (Chairman of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute) and Shraga Brosh (President Manufacturer's Association of Israel), have honoured Renato Chiavi, COO DHL Danzas Air & Ocean for the achievements of DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.

Following criteria must be applicable: The company is maintaining business relations with Israel for more than 5 years continuously, the company has reached purchasing products and services in the extend of above 100 million dollars in the last 5 years in Israel, not in the frame of "buy back", the company is maintaining business relation with not less than 10 Israeli companies, the company develops or contributes to forming business relations between Israeli companies and companies worldwide, the company maintains permanent representative in Israel.

Among other candidates, DHL Danzas Air & Ocean fulfilled the criteria in the best way. This Award is a confirmation for the mutually rewarding business relationship between the logistics company and the whole industry of Israel. Mr Ehud Olmert the minister of Trade and Commerce who is also the Finance minister and the Acting Prime Minister of Israel extended its appreciation to DHL Danzas Air & Ocean and to Mr Chiavi during a private dinner. At this occasion, Mr Renato Chiavi met with 2005 Economic Prize Nobel winner Prof. Robert J. Aumann. He is working at the Center for Rationality of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He shared this price with Thomas Schelling of the University of Maryland.

The Manufacturer's Association of Israel (MAI) is an independent umbrella organization which represents private, public, government and kibbutz owned enterprises. This important circumstance highlights the fact that the Award is an important confirmation of a sound business record.
