Danzas AEI in South Africa soon to be integrated

Grindrod/Danzas contract to terminate. Danzas in South Africa will integrate with AEI SA (Pty) Ltd

Johannesburg (South Africa) (April 6, 2000) -- The Danzas office in South Africa has been operating as a Sales-Delegation Office, offering only forwarding services. In order to provide a complete door-to-door service, Danzas in South Africa entered into an exclusive handling agency agreement with Grindrod in July 1996, whereby Grindrod would handle all Danzas' customers clearing requirements.

As a result of the Deutsche Post-AEI acquisition, (and the subsequent merging of AEI and Danzas in South Africa), the clearing function will no longer be outsourced, as the AEI office in South Africa (now Danzas AEI ) is able to perform this function.

This exclusive handling agency agreement between Danzas and Grindrod was terminated on 15 March 2000. By mutual agreement between the two parties, the original 90 days expiration was reduced, and this contract will now expire on 15 April 2000. Until this date, shipments will continue to be assigned to Grindrod.

The entire operation will become fully integrated on 16 April 2000. Orders must then be re-routed to Danzas AEI (SA) (Pty) Ltd and DANZAS AEI (SA) (Pty) Ltd will assimilate all existing Danzas SA business. Click to view the names of the key executives and addresses of facilities.
