AEI Wins Top UK Logistics Award

AEI Staines, UK (January 20, 2000) -- AEI UK's expertise in delivering customer-focused and cost effective logistics solutions has earned the company the prestigious Logistics & Distribution "Gold Award", presented by the British International Freight Association (BIFA).

All 1,200 members of BIFA are eligible to enter for the awards, which are judged on independent customer testimonials and written submissions by respective freight and logistics organizations. There are seven award categories overall.

The awards are presented annually at a special luncheon in London, attended by some 400 industry executives.

In choosing AEI for the Logistics & Distribution "Gold Award" - sponsored by BAA Air Cargo - the judges commented: "Effective information systems, a global presence and the ability to create and develop real customer benefits, coupled with genuine cost reductions, are the hallmarks of the dedicated logistics provider."

"In the case studies submitted by AEI, the importance and reliance placed upon the customers' requirements, and the depth of commitment on their part to fulfill them, was truly impressive."

In addition to winning the top logistics award, AEI also received BIFA Freight Service Awards 'in recognition of outstanding contribution to excellence in the freight service industry' in the Airfreight, Seafreight and Logistics & Distribution categories.
