AEI Appoints Kenneth A. Nieze As Vice President Global Sales & Marketing, Europe
DARIEN, CT USA (September 9, 1999) -- AEI has named Kenneth A. Nieze as Vice President Global Sales and Marketing, Europe to spearhead the logistics
organization's business development program in the region.
After graduating CUM LAUDE from Eastern Illinois University with bachelor's
degrees in both 'Production and Inventory Control Management' and 'Personnel
Management' Mr. Nieze began his career with a major U.S. logistics company.
He was then transferred to Europe and spent four years in the Benelux area and
three years in the United Kingdom setting up various logistics solutions for
U.S. multi-national companies. After seven years in Europe he was transferred
to New York, where he was responsible for global sales for Manhattan and the
greater New York City area.
Married with two young children, Mr. Nieze is also vice president for the
local Council of Logistics Management in the New York/Connecticut round table.
Commenting on the appointment, Sjoerd van Loon, AEI's Vice President Europe,
said, " We are delighted to have someone of Ken's caliber heading up our
European sales and marketing program. Europe is developing into a dynamic
single market, which requires a uniform sales structure and marketing
approach. Ken will be responsible for ensuring AEI takes full advantage of
these opportunities, offering AEI's new e-logistics technologies to both its
corporate and medium volume customers."

Mr. Nieze, who is based at AEI's European headquarters, joined AEI in April
1995 as director of sales for North America and within one year was promoted
to the position of vice president of sales, North America by the US $1.5
billion logistics company. In 1998, Mr. Nieze was promoted to the position of
vice president global sales and marketing, North America, a position he held
until transferring to Europe. In this role he managed key departments such as
global business development, sales force automation/global tenders, marketing
and consulting.
