AEI Appoints Michael K. Lorelli As Vice President And Chief Development Officer

DARIEN, CT USA (August 23, 1999) -- AEI announced today the appointment of Michael K. Lorelli to Vice President and Chief Development Officer.

In his new position, Mr. Lorelli will direct marketing and development efforts at AEI to enhance its global logistics position in the marketplace.

Mr. Lorelli has held many top management positions with Fortune 500 companies, such as PepsiCo and Bristol-Myers Squibb. As Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President for PepsiCola, he was responsible for the trademark, channel development, and new products strategies for the company's soft drink sector. During his tenure, PepsiCola was recognized for many marketing firsts, which enhanced its market position.

As President of Pizza Hut's International Division, Lorelli led an aggressive global expansion that took the unit from 68 to 92 countries. While he was president of PepsiCola East, he helped this $1.5 billion division integrate 23 franchise bottlers. He most recently was partner in a management consulting practice.
