Shipments can be pre-cleared through Customs before the airplane lands, truck crosses the border or the ocean vessel arrives using systems such as DHL Global Forwarding's global communications network and the U.S. Customs pre-classification programs or Canada Customs and Revenue Agency's (CCRA) ACROSS and PARS electronic pre-clearance programs. DHL Global Forwarding offers complete customs brokerage services throughout North America. Employing more than 900 import professionals, 25% of whom are individually licensed in customs brokerage, DHL Global Forwarding is recognized to represent importers before U.S. Canadian and Mexican customs agencies. Additionally the Federal Aviation Authority, Food & Drug Administration, Fish & Wildlife Service, Department of Agriculture, and Federal Maritime Commission among others. Our other value-added services include pre-shipment inspections at point of origin, preparation and tracking of documentation, temporary import bonds and duty drawback management. We provide special handing for fine arts, antiques, retail merchandise, electronics and other goods subject to specific regulations.
