Customer Program Management (CPM)
CPM is a global unit within DHL Global Forwarding that has ownership for value add services and programs that support our core transportation services. The unit contains the skill sets needed to fully define value add services, manage technical development, implement programs, and perform monitoring, analysis, reporting and expediting functions.
CPM focuses on the management of:
Data;
Integrated logistics processes and data visibility from origin to destination (Door-to-Door);
Implementation of new initiatives;
Performance against customer defined KPI's;
Process improvement.
These functions take place within an environment described as a Control Tower.
Customer Program Management Mission
Provide management of logistics events for material moving through the supply chain, while establishing best in class practices for the customer. This includes the management of Danzas services and the services of other providers participating in the routing.
CPM Services:
In order to profile our services in a focused manner, CPM has segmented its offerings into three distinct program categories. These categories are targeted based on specific customer needs/requirements, and have distinct pricing, implementation and benefit profiles.
Within each of these service categories, we offer a unique set of services, intended to add value to our customers.
| 1. | Transportation Plus (Standard Systems Driven Value Adds) |
| |  | A package of standard value-add functions augmenting the transportation services provided by DHL Global Forwarding. |
| |  | Combination Push (alerting, reporting), Pull (web applications) and Monitoring Services. |
| |  | Rapid Implementation (less than 10 business days) because services are standardized and not-customized. |
| 2. | Ocean (and Air) Cargo Management |
| |  | A value add, standardized program, added to DHL Danzas Ocean (soon to be Air also) forwarding transportation services and fees. |
| |  | Gives visibility at order item level, with management of the purchase order and coordination between the vendor and consignee. |
| |  | Targeted at customers who want to have origin services provided (Order Management, Vendor Management, Buyers Consolidation, Document collection and distribution) along with web visibility of order/item status and reporting. On-going supply chain events per order/item are also visible when using DHL Danzas transportation and brokerage. |
| |  | Fixed transaction charges will apply and implementations are within seven working days. |
| 3. | Logistics Management Services (Customized) |
| |  | Highly specialized set of value add services, such as Transportation Management, Order Management, Vendor management, Supply Chain Event Management, Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) services, etc., that are integrated into the customer's processes and requirements, forming a customer specific program. |
| |  | A CPM team is assigned to each customer with customer focus. |
| |  | Implementation charges and/or ongoing management fees to be assigned to customer. |
